Petition · Save Net Neutrality #netneutrality ·

(Submission) ☝🏾Nerd here: This is a link above to a petition to sign to save Net Neutrality. It needs 1,500,000 signatures it’s currently at 1,384,000. Also the site gives a brief explanation on Net Neutrality that you could read.

Another thing we can do is text “RESIST” to 50409 and the resist bot will help you form an email letter to your senators to help save net neutrality. It’s really easy all you have to do is put your contact info, and a short message on why Net Neutrality is important, and it will send the message to congress for you. It’s quick and only takes five minutes. If you still not sure about what net neutrality is, and the benefits of it. You could look through the #netneutrality tag on Tumblr/Twitter and search up the many net neutrality articles online to get an idea of what’s currently going on.

You can also actually call the FCC directly and leave a voice message. Their number is 202-418-1000. They will ask for your zip code, to send you to a person to get your message to congress. They will also ask for your name & address. You can say a simple message like you “oppose FCC’s decision to end net neutrality because you support a free and open internet for all and I hope my representative will do the same.” You can say more, but this is a basic response.

There’s also two other websites that will help us save net neutrality. One is and Battleforthenet I’ll submit links to those sites as well a little later.

All of the internet pioneers like Tim Berners Lee who invented the World Wide Web, Vinson Cerf also known as “The father of the internet” who co created the internet underlying TCP/IP protocol. Steve Crocker, who helped develop the protocols for internet predecessor ARPANET; Stephen Wolff, who helped transform the military ARPANET into a civilian research and communications network, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Mozilla Foundation executive chairwoman Mitchell Baker, Internet Archive founder Brewster Kahle, and Betaworks CEO John Borthwick. All SUPPORT Net Neutrality. And are fighting to save it. If the people who invented and innovated the internet are saying that we need to keep Net Neutrality, that’s when you know it’s serious. Cuz I’m pretty sure these people who CREATED the internet know what they are talking about. Hopefully we can stop the repeal.
